Lets see if this works; it's from an 87 2wd Manual but if you fill in the blanks you should be able to decififer your truck as well.

Thanks Andy.....That one should work 1981-89 no problem. I believe the number "6" replaced "4" as the designation for regular cab in 1990. This is still in position 7 of the VIN.
While some numbers/letters changed over these years as to their meaning, the positions still signified the same throughout,i.e. position 8 is always engine size.
