76 W200 question

Hi, I have a 76 W200 reg cab .My question is iv noticed it at one time had badges on the sides of the bed and from what i can make out of the paint being a different shade it started with a "C" i think anyone know what it might of said or stud for?

That would be a CUSTOM which I believe denotes the trim level of the truck. There was also an Adventurer which was a higher trim level.

Custom emblem

The emblems you are looking for were last used in 1976. That will narrow down your search if you are going to any salvage yards to look for a pair.

C= custom

I never understood that designation. the 70's Custom trim is barebones in my trucks. what was the trim level below Custom.

Custom is the base, or lowest, trim level.

yeah iv heard that there hard on the front axles with no lock out hubs and especially when ur running the NP203 like i am

The grease fittings for the front bearings are located inside the hole in the face of the rotor ( hub ). just in case you were not aware of location.
Also if you need to remove the hub their are cap screws inside that hole too.
