    what oil/lube to use
    dana 70 diffs-?
    Xfer case-?
    360 motor-? 60K
    4 speed manual tranny-?
I was using break cleaner to rinse out the diffs. that stuff worked great. I went to auto parts store to buy more, cant find it. NJ state law changed new (green) brake cleaner doesn't work as well. What other solvent substance could i use to clean/rinse/flush the sludge from diffs ,Xfer case & manual tranny? old bad gasoline then rinse with crummy new brake cleaner? I don't want to harm any seals or internal components.

Dig out your wife's can of Easy-Off oven cleaner from under the kitchen sink....... Until you can get something else.

Kerosene/diesel/mineral spirits might be safer than gasoline.

I have had luck soaking parts in a vat of Drano also.
