OK Mr. Wisenhiemer.......I'm aware of the Prospector badging and the larger than dental mirrors.......how about any special interior embelishment?......an underseat gold panning kit perhaps?....

A friend of ours bought one brand new 4x4 in '85. It was blue with gold pinstriping with blue velour interior and the 318/auto setup. It seems to me it had factory 'wagon wheel' rims. It's been nearly 20 years since I'd seen it, so it's hard to remember. I do know this, it was a really sharp truck and although we were a Mopar family, it intensified my desire to have a Dodge truck someday.

I sold these new 1st year was mid term 1978. I think there were 2 levels of pkgs. Can't find a 78 brochure but here is the 81 Pkg 1: Custom SE, 2tone, sure order pkg S including oil press gauges & trip odometer, bright rear bumper, bright wheel covers, Power steer & brakes hood insulation pad, bright low mount mirrors, convenience pkg (inside hood release & ?)
halogen headlights & prospector name plate(78 &79 were decals) for a retail savings of $250 OR
Pkg 2 cust SE & 2 tone Sure order pkg T same as above plus tinted glass,
A/C, bright grille am/fm/mx radio(stereo) light pkg(cargo lgt, ash tray/)
RAMS head ornament Retail cavings $500
The prospector pkg would change yearly as would discounts
There was also any extra $225 discount off of the CB radio.
