  • W350 spring block elimination

I have a 93 W350 DRW Cummins, has anyone removed the lift block and installed a lift spring, looking for a better ride empty and will install air bags to carry load.

Its absolutely possible. You will need to get lift springs that are supposed to lift the same height as the block you are taking out to have the truck remain the same height. Doing this without changing spring rates in the spring pack will not change the ride quality any in reality. If you want a softer ride consider installing a spring pack out of a half ton and go with the airbag overload setup you mentioned. This will yield you the most comfortable results aside from having custom springs made up for your rig.

For a lot less money just lower your tire air pressure by 5-8 lbs.

No reason to mess with the factory suspension geometry, you will create problems in some other area and air bags are only a band aide, not a cure all for ride and load.
Consider that your existing tires are air bags AND a part of your suspension system.
A different tire sidewall rating and/or less air pressure will accomplish the same thing for a lot less money.
