I have a 93 D-350 w/cummins diesel it charges and discharges from time to time when I'm driving can anyone help me with how to diagnos the problem?

the voltage Reg is in the PCM so you either have a wiring problem or the ALT is on its way out / if it is the PCM you can install a older 80,s external Reg and it,ll work fine / do a web search on it / it will turn your check engine light onComment

charging problem
The problem was with the cranshaft position sensor, not the PCM but that is good to know for future reference.Dirty Old Dog
