choke thermostat?

My 77 M880 Powewargon has a holley 2280 2bbl list number r8431-1 and I want to replace the choke thermostat. I can't find an exact match anywhere, but the closest thing by appearance is this:

I pulled the existing stat and it looks identical. Do you think it's safe to go with this?
