  • That automatic choke thingy

    Not sure what the formal name is but with the original Carter on a M880 theres that wound spring on the intake manifold that closes the choke in cold weather, opens once warm.

    Supposed to anyway.

    Can you still buy those? I've tried playing around with it but its just too wore out I guess. If they can't be bought, what's a decent solution?
    1951 B-3 Delux Cab, Braden Winch, 9.00 Power Kings
    1976 M880, power steering, 7.50x16's, flat bed, lots of rust & dents
    1992 W250 CTD, too many mods to list...

    Cant find the actual name, seems like bi-metallic choke assembly comes to mind.

    Should be available, may be easier to find on a car site. Most are similiar just be sure you get correct rod lenght.

    Or go to junk yard & search threw old 70's trucks/cars.

          20 bucks on ebay

          there is a seller called hotwheels???? selling them for $20. dont know what shipping would be. sometimes they lowball the item cost and bang up the shipping. but the part your looking for is available

            Some have pigtails, whats that do? Like a heating element or something?
