Door hinge pins

Does anyone have a procedure on replacing the door hinge pins on a '92 vintage Dodge pickup? I have new replacements, but the old ones don't look as if they come out very easily.

support door with floor jack and 2ft 4x4 block of wood / pound pins out and set door to the side unless theirs wires and then have somebody hold door but separated from truck / knock bushings out put new ones in and line door up and put pins in
