    Hello guys....
(UP-DATE) today April 2nd 2012, i showed up today for my appt with the smog station at 10 am and the man name scott told me that the person who doing the repairs is on vacation for 2 weeks but i was unhappy that he had to wait until today to tell me this !!!!!!!!! so of course i left that saved me 250 dollars.

I went to the dmv to get a "waiver" and they REFUSED and so they still want the smog cert. even after showing all the work and repairs done and proof of receipts totaling nearly 350 dollars, they demanded me to pay 115.00 more because it was 2 days past due(tags expired march 31) and ended up with a red square paper for 90 days temp. This is the prime reason why i called the state of califorina (nazi state)

We just got paid last friday. Guys PLEASE help us deal with this or i may be forced to junk the truck as we are running out of money. We need this truck for our daily transportation as last week we junked my husband's 1988 dodge van for the same problem plus many other problems. the truck is in better condition than the van was. I do not know what to do now ?

Unfortunately, when dealing with a government agency, the game is played by their rules. The only thing you can do is comply with their requirements.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

          smog

Didn't you mention that the truck had passed smog in November of 2011 when you purchased it? Smog checks are done every two years or when change of ownership occurs. If the truck was smogged in November, why are they requiring it to be done again so soon?

            hello USN78W150.......

no, it was march 2012 and the dmv refused to give me a waiver. I paid 115 dollars yesterday and got a red square paper good for 90 days and they still want a smog cert. SIGH.
