Hi Ya'll I have a 1990 w250 diesel. It has the Dana 60 front axle.
I have noticed tire wear in 6 inch patches across both front tires from the inside to the outside of both tires.
Upon removing the tires I noticed the rotors are hard to turn. I must put in a pry bar in order to turn them. I assume the calibers are not releasing entirely.
I plan on replacing all the rubber lines in the brake system . flushing the old brake fluid out and replacing it with DOT 4 fluid. I will have the rotors checked to ensure they are still in spec.
I have removed one of the rotor/hub assemblies and would like to separate the rotor from the hub. Is it necessary to have the hubs pressed from the rotors ?
Is there a way I can do this at home without damaging the lug nut threads?
I will do one side at a time (both sides before I drive the truck ) so I can use the other side as a guide to put it back correctly.
Thanks for any advice
Hillbilly
