  • My '80 Ramcharger

I just wanted to share my resto-mod Ramcharger.
    It's a 1980 Ramcharger SE 4x4 with a 493 Stroker Six Pack, '98 Ram dash and '03 Durango power/heated leather seats and a 2800 watt stereo.

All hooked up and easy in the eyes.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

            nice

Looks like 2013's retro prototype. kind of like what jeep is doing with the old/new gladiator concept. always liked turbine wheels.

The original heater box was donated to a friend for a restoration he was doing.

Ah, I'm in Love. Very Nice!
                I drive a DODGE, not a ram!

                Thanks,

Great color on the Rammer, that was a popular color back in the day

Very nice! Bet that was a lot of work, you should be proud!

I like the turbines too. Miss the oem dash though.

I didn't care for the the dash that much. But the '98 dash has very similar 'lines' to the original.

I love the turbine rims also. :)

Now that you say that I can see it. Interesting.

How hard was that to do?

It wasn't that difficult to do. The dash widths are the same so we only needed to cut back the top of the dash to work with the steeper wind shield on the Ramcharger and modify the dash frame accordingly.
The stock heater box couldn't be used so going aftermarket simplified all the heater, defrost and A/C plumbing. I just had to modify the controls so that I could use the controls in the dash.

But then things always appear easier after they have been done! :)
