  • club cab rear Windows.

Both of my back side window are leaking in my truck, New seals for them are like 75 bucks apiece. Has anybody fixed leaks in these Windows without getting new seals? Im broke right now but I have to stop these leaks.

I have heard (although I have not personally done this) from several car guys that you can soak an old window rubber gasket in a pan of GoJo hand cleaner for a few days and when it comes out it is as pliable and will seal the window nearly as good as when it was new. That's a pretty cheap fix if you have the original gasket and it's all in one piece. I also have read that mineral spirits and glycerine work. Either way, you will need to clean the gasket with hot vinegar water after soaking it to remove the black crud on the surface. After that process is completed is when the glycerine is rubbed on. Some have said that the mineral spirits in the GoJo is what is actually doing the softening. Just don't get the GoJo with the pumice in it. :)

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?
