  • 318 blue engine paint?

    Good Morning All:

I did a search for a rattle can of paint for the engine in my '73 W200 and found several offers but people saying what they got didn't match.

Anyone buy spray paint they were satisfied with, in this light blue color?

    Thanks
    -Ken

There are at least 2 "blue" colors that LA engines were painted. One is called Turquoise, the other blue. I haven't personally used either though.

As can be seen, I have the darker blue. As can also be seen, cap color shade is not very close to actual color shade.

          Turquoise: MOPAR #P4120752AB
          Blue: MOPAR #P4349217AB

To be clear, my engine appears to be the original 318 / 5.2l; it still has the original emissions stickers (damaged, but there).
