1957 W100 Restoration (2nd try!)

This is a 1957 W100 short bed V8. It is one of 205 units produced in 1957. The truck has the original 315 engine, large back window, and optional 17 1/2 inch tubeless wheels. The truck is being kept as close to original as possible, with the addition of electronic ignition, alternator, and Holly carburetor. Here is the link to view the pictures of the truck. Enjoy!

Good looking truck. Those 57's seem to be popping up more and more. Could you do a close up shot of your front fenders at the lower leading edge. I have a 57 here that has opposing sides as far as the the flare goes. One side is rolled back the other is straight and I need to know which one is correct. I've done plenty of 58's which are similar but the 57 is all by itself on the front sheet metal.

I posted the pictures of the front leading edges of the fenders in the same link. http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s389/johnson7171/ I also included a picture of the front right side of the clip, does anyone know if some sort of a tag went on the top right edge of the clip in front of the radiator, there are two holes spaced about 3-4" apart?

some 1957's had a vin tag there, (some being the key word in that sentence) I have only seen a few trucks with a metal vin tag there. More often then not, they had a paper tag in the glove box, and all you will find today is reside of the glue for that tag.
