Rear differential

Can I replace my 1957 W200 rear diff. with one out of a D300? Or are they different? My guess is that the ratio's might be different but what about the length?

If they are both 8 3/4 full float corporate rears they should swap out no problem. What are the ratios?

I'm guessing the W200 has a Dana 60, unless I'm getting 57 confused with later models. The D300 may or may not, depends on year & if its a dually. Dana 70's were around in the 60's.
