  • WE HAVE MOVED! New Dodge Sweptline URL

Some of you may have said. "Where's Norm?"
Well, I've been a tad busy.
Many of you here also participate at the Dodge Sweptline . org site as well as here.
Many of you will know that Bravenet played a big Aprils Fool trick on us, while I was traveling during Easter Vacation, Bravenet changed the entire format, without notice, without testing, without as much as a howdy do...
    It's been a disaster!
Phil and I have been working on a new server for a while and with the Bravenet meltdown, we decided to move the site.
So with the help of some good Beta Testers, we have improved, debugged and placed a new Dodge Sweptline.org forum and we are up and running!
    We are now here: DTA
Thanks for your continued support of BOTH forums, DTA Headers and the Sweptline Registry.
    Keep on Dodging!

                Thanks,

Considered it, however there are a lot of folks that use the site on dial-up.
Not sure how that plays at slow loading speeds, on old computers, when you have a bunch of pages open, so we didn't Beta Test that way.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

                    Thanks Gordon,
It's been a hectic several weeks, I'm sleep walking.
Phil did all of the real work this week, I've just been playing catch up. I just started a major construction project last Monday, add that 14 hours a day to the computer stuff, my Jeep business and a half dozen other things...
In addition I'm really drained of emotion from working with a few folks from Chrysler. The next two weeks are critical to our beloved brands. This may be it or it may be a new beginning of a much smaller niche company, or...it's unknown,... devastating and exhausting.

This sounds more ominous to me than all the hyperbole I have heard int he media for months.
It sounds like what you are saying is that Chyrsler as we know it is really done for now. At best a niche company?

Somebody made a major miscalculation when they accepted fed funds. Too many strings tied to the funding. Too many union issues, too many hurdels with Fiat.
                          It's going to be uphill

                            dealing with Fiat...

it's pretty difficult to negotiate with another competitor, when the POSUS holds a gun to your head and says you must make a deal in 30 days or else...

makes the Godfathers's horse in bed scene look like a fraternity prank...

Last night, the CAW accepted the Chrysler offer of a $19 per hour wage cut.
Now we have only the UAW, 9 banks and the feds to deal with...and 5 days left to the deadline.
Chrysler has prepared their bankruptcy plan and is prepared to use it if they cannot meet the federal goals set forth by the White House.
