  • Working on the '65 W200 Crew....

Was able to finally put some time into the crew cab this weekend and get it running again. I robbed some parts off of the motor to get my '65 D100 440 running but was able to get it all back and running this weekend. I swapped the military Michelins back on and got the rear bumper brackets finished and installed the bumper. Took a while to get it started because the timing was way off but it seems to run good so far. Trying to get it ready for the Hollister Power Wagon Rally memorial weekend in Hollister, Ca.
Getting very close to finding a 12 valve cummins and a nv4500 5 speed to swap in. :Thumbsup Hopefully once I get the 440 sold.

Which color do you like best?

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

Made a little progress on the W200 Crew cab...Swapped the Dana 80 rear in with out any problems and also got the upper and lower gasket/seal kit from Cummins so that is the next step.

Gordon, I don't really like either color. Probably going to paint it a darker metallic red after I get the Cummins installed.

How about writing an article — or several — for Power Wagon Advertiser magazine on this project as you go along? It would be a great topic and readers would have a lot of interest.
