Hey guys have posted before, looking for a 1969 W300 was a former fire truck 1 ton dual wheel, red. was at Woodville State Hospital near pittsburgh, pa.. was sold in the 90's at auction, i have a poss vin number that i got from the state, but cannot run it in DMV and have decoded it. i beleive it was a 4x4. Heard rumors that the fire body was taken off and made into a stake bed truck with a plow.. need to find this truck, have been searching for over 2 years so that my son can see it, was my fathers work truck and my son never got to meet his grandfather so i am making a scrap book of my father for him and it would be great to find it, my luck it's sitting in someones corn field or something...would appreciate any help...

If you know a police officer, they can have the VIN ran through the data base. It may or may not come back as VIN's are 17 digits. I work p/t at 911 and have ran some with less than 17. Sometimes they come back w/ the previous/ current owners, sometimes they don't.

Have the officer ask the dispatcher to check the surrounding states, you might find what you are looking for. Otherwise, he has to enter the codes to check all 50 states, which takes some time.Comment
