1941 Plymouth PT125

Hi there. Long-time PW lurker, but just joined the Forum. I'm a regular on the sweptline.org forums, and have owned quite a few Sweptline trucks, plus a couple of Pilothouse trucks and several Lifestyle pickups, too. This is my '41 Plymouth PT125 pickup. One of 6,078 built. Not a PW, but it's still a Mopar it's the LAST year of Plymouth production, and shares nearly all with the '41-'47 Dodge and Fargo trucks!

I've owned this truck since April '10. It was built and restored from a rust-free SW Kansas/NW Oklahoma pickup. It's never had a heater, and therefore never was driven in the fairly salty KS winters. It is sorta-hotrodded, with a 1958 Plymouth 230 flathead Six, that has a Fenton aluminum head, a Ford/Holley one-barrel carb, and lots of chrome and powder-coating under the hood.

I wish I could say "I built it!", but nope. This truck was actually built as you see it, in central Oklahoma, in 1991. Looks pretty good for a job done twenty years ago! I did some trading with a pre-war pickup collector in St Louis, MO, who has perhaps twenty or so restored Chevys, Fords, Dodges, a REO, and a Diamond T. He also has three Hudson/Terraplane pickups, a pair of '37s and a '38. I traded my restored 1937 Terraplane two-door for it, and even though I liked the '37, I like this one more!
