  • My 1944 WC51

This is my pride and joy, POPEYE, a WC51 built in Aug-Sept 1944. Bought it in 1994 in Norway and drove it from Stockholm, Sweden to Normandy and back. No trailer here.... I'm marking it as an ambulance WC51, anyone have info on those in WW2?

    That is a nice '51.

However, I am only aware of the "knock down" configuration that was used as an ambulance.

According to everything I have read the other ambulance styles were carry alls.

I would like to hear of other configurations as well.

    Keep the pics coming.

      WC 51 ambulance

      Hi Goran
On Bert Roelofs wwII dodge site is a photo of a WC 51/52 with a red cross painted on the canvas.
      Look under Pictures.
      Greetings, Olaf

Olaf, do you have a link or URL for that site?

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?
