originally owned by a geological testing company, and titled as a power drilling unit. One stout horse, 23 leaf springs on each side of the rear end, I've put plenty of very heavy things on it and it's never sagged a bit. It originally had a core drill mounted on it for soil testing, still has the 1/4" diamond plate bed with toolboxes in front of the wheels. I just put a rack on it to haul firewood. they told me there was nowhere this truck wouldn't go and I believe them. My beast is an ongoing project, as are most but a pleasure to work on and drive. Gets lots of attention where ever it goes. Thanks so much for knowledge wisdom and comraderie on this site, a wonderful place to share relics from days gone by. George Wallis 53 B-4 power wagon, 53 harley 45" servicar, 71 lincoln markIII, 95 ram 1500 4x4, and 01 pt cruiser, what a herd, have a good day, btw what would be the weight rating on a truck with this many springs 1 1/2 ton maybe?
