After purchasing this truck in Iowa and hauling it to the 2012 Rally, then storing it for the last year and 1/2, I am finally getting around to parting it out. The reason I purchased it was for the original 440 engine and many of the engine bay components (A/C, cruise, etc.) to put it into my '75 W200 crew cab. It is an 80K mile Adventurer SE model, conventional cab, short bed, automatic. Many have asked why I am parting out such a nice looking rare truck. The answer is I bought it knowing it had a lost title and I mainly wanted the engine, plus it has a lot of rust issues, all of which pretty much means it wasn't the best candidate for restoration (unless you are Ron from Indiana). I have recently sold most of the exterior and some interior trim pieces, front bumperettes, seat, transfer case, hood, both axles and wheels but still have lots of items left. Included for sale are:
- steering wheel
- tilt steering column (a rare option)
- power steering unit and pump
- master cylinder and booster
- wood grain dash bezel
- red dash
- red glove box door (cracked)
- clock (don't know if it works)
- seat belts
- sun visors (white)
- headliner (white)
- arm rests
- door handles (interior and exterior)
- 727 automatic transmission for the 440 (works)
- drive shafts
- plastic gas tank
- fuel tank sending unit (not sure of condition)
- transmission cooler
- radiator
- grill
- interior door panels
- tail light units
- all glass including the sliding rear window
- chrome bumpers front and rear (front one isn't too bad, back not in the greatest shape but better than none at all, I guess)
- lots of other items
