1977 Dodge W40 Ex Firetruck (Monterey Airport Mini Attack Pumper)
(Build tag on door states W40, not W400...W40 model is cab/chassis only from factory)
Built by Westates in Woodland for Monterey Airport District
Very rare, heavy duty model.
Dually rear axle
440 motor, 727 auto transmission (completely serviced)
Heads rebuilt, rv cam, Edelbrock carb and manifold, Hedman headers (also have stock parts), excellent compression (pistons and cylinders inspected at time of head rebuild)
Rebuilt radiator, heater (no ac)
Dana 70 rear axle, Dana 60 front axle-open knuckle, disc brakes, $700 Tom Woods drive shaft, 4.88 and 4.10 gear ratios inc. for rear diff, Frt diff is 4:88
Tachometer with hour meter (less than 50hrs on engine rebuild)
Warn Winch on front
Magnaflow mufflers
6 "E" rated Kumho all terrain tires with less than 1K miles on them
Originally firetruck yellow, previous owner painted white....needs paint and fenders/doors replaced (rust)...easy to find for this model.
Has back DMV fees, last registered in 2007-8....we use as a ranch truck/hauler.
Poured $10K into this truck. Have book of receipts. Too many projects.
Open to trades, possible part out.

I looked at this truck in the last part of 2013 and considered a trade for another truck of mine at the time. This ad appeared very recently. Nice, healthy sounding 440! and has Mile-Marker part-time conversion. If the owner is game for the trade again, this will be in my yard.
