1942 WC54 Ambulance has been a project of mine for the last five years. It is in worse shape now than when I bought it. It is currently registered in AZ with historic vehicle license plates. When I purchased it, it had a Chevy 350. I got it running, but the vibration damper crankshaft bolt is stripped from trying to crank it by hand. I had planned to install a 360 Dodge engine in it, but my donor engine had low compression in two cylinders, which caused the project to stall. It has a few new parts from VPW, such as the gas cap, glove box, and door. Original radiator, turn signal lights, and other parts are also included.
The gas tank is mounted but not installed. It is from a Ford Mustang. Either the 350 or the Dodge 360 is available to the buyer. They both include a manual transmission.
The motivation for the sale is a recent neighbor's complaint to the county about my property having too many old trucks on it. It's a good problem to have, but some neighbors do not share our appreciation of old Dodge trucks!
