My M37 was a winch truck. Not anymore. It has a wide block from a 1963 dump truck. First and second are non synchro, so that means an NP420, but the PTO window is on the passenger side, next to all the transfer case linkage. I am assuming that the stock tranny would have the PTO window on the drivers' side. I found a date tag that says 3-4-63, which is consistent with the 63 engine, but no data plate or ID numbers cast in the housing that I could find.
Does anyone know what tranny came with a 63 D600 or D700?
And was the 420 available with different PTO options- right or left?
