  • Installing 237 in WC-12

I would like to install an Industrial IND-7 237CI flathead in my WC -12. I know you have to move the radiator up a few inches, but is there a way of making motor mounts or "L" type brackets to hook up to the existing motor mounts on the frame. Don't want to have to weld in new motor mounts. Thanks for any help.

make tabs to grab the stock frame motor mount holes

modify your floating power bracket to reach back to the orig frame holes. figure out front hose routing etc and you are good to go. lots of 25" sixes have been transplanted into the 1/2 tons. nice mod.

      Hello Mannyc,
Thanks a bunch for the advice. I guess there must be a way to modify the floating power mount. I will have to research the best way. As I said, I don't want to have to weld or cut up my frame in any way.

I have to ask; what is the floating power mount?

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

The "Floating Power" mount is the front engine support plate and rubber insulator assembly. This is the term Chrysler used when they came out with this type of engine mount set up. It cut down on engine vibration and gave an overall better ride for the vehicle it was installed in.
