I converted the left side steering knuckle on the front drive axle to an 70s or 80s{I`m not sure what year it was/is} Ford steering knuckle as the stud/bolt holes in the old Dodge unit had cracked and I could not keep them tight.
The Ford unit has a wider stance on the outer bolt/studs and a bit narrower in the the inners.
I then had to cut the drag link between the knuckle and the steering gear box and turn one end 180 degrees and weld it back together.
That modification took the worries and the OH $#@* moment out of that old knuckle busting off whilst going down the road.LOL
I do`nt especially care much for Fords but this is one mod that was/is well worth the time and effort.
If anyone has any information as to where one of those "Adjustable links" with the replaceable end joints could be obtained please infor Me of this info.
