  • Old tools

Reading the post about lost tools reminded me about what happened to me. A couple of years ago some one went into my tool shed and stole most of my mechanics tools. They got some items that I could not replace.

Some of these items were: the spark plug wrench and adjustable wrench that came with Dad's 1948 B1PW Power-Wagon, the Ford stamped open end wrenches that Dad left to me, the Craftsman wrenches that Dad bought during WW-2 (they were non chromed, as all chrome was being used for the war effort) and the first tool set of Craftsman wrenches that I saved my money for serveral months to buy in 1970. I would recognize these wrenches if I were to see them again. I knew them well and wiped them clean after each use.

I am glad Russ found his socket set, I have not seen my tools again

    Lost tools

Hey Todd, I certainly hope you can recover your tools, but if they were stolen, the chances are very small. My sense of relief when I found my Thorsen socket set was incredible. I didn't realize that I would miss them so badly.
