Reading the post about lost tools reminded me about what happened to me. A couple of years ago some one went into my tool shed and stole most of my mechanics tools. They got some items that I could not replace.
Some of these items were: the spark plug wrench and adjustable wrench that came with Dad's 1948 B1PW Power-Wagon, the Ford stamped open end wrenches that Dad left to me, the Craftsman wrenches that Dad bought during WW-2 (they were non chromed, as all chrome was being used for the war effort) and the first tool set of Craftsman wrenches that I saved my money for serveral months to buy in 1970. I would recognize these wrenches if I were to see them again. I knew them well and wiped them clean after each use.
I am glad Russ found his socket set, I have not seen my tools again
