    After all of the work and money you put into it you are STILL way under what a new, full sized drill press, would cost. Looks like fun! I sure could use one.

      Got her finished today!

      Still need to mount the chuck and finish a few small details.

      This was my first rebuild of any old-er machinery and loved every bit of it.

      Can't wait to find another toy play with!

              What I would like is a drill press that can do a 1-1/4 inch hole in heavy plate comfortably. I want a large capacity machine because I want to do some heavy plate fabrication suitable for tractor attachments and implements.

              I admit I am unfamiliar enough with old, large machine tools to know what models and brands would be suitable candidates for a search for a rebuildable machine.
