My dad bought two of these Welders back in the late fifties.
One for him and one for a very close childhood friend.
Well his buddy past away last month and dad was to sell off his shop and property which he did.
He brought this back with him for me to have.
It's a AC/DC Welder/Battery Booster in Great Shape!

Hey Tom. That brings back memories. We had 2 of those in our Ag. shop where I went to high school. That is just like one of the machines I learned to weld with. That one looks like nearly new.
How is the drought up there in your area? I see you are getting some cooler weather finally.

Yes it's in much better shape than Dad's for sure.
I'm going to park it next to my old Lincoln 225 buzz box I learned to weld with.
They both look great together,but odd next to the mig's!!

Yes very dry here as you guy's were last year.
Has cooled though and that's a blessing!
I don't know how you folks handle 100+ heat in TX.?
Although Mac did shed some thoughts on it at IA this year,haha

I have been here 35 years, and still am not used to the heat. We just learn to work around it. When a wrench is too hot to pick up bare-handed, it is time to quit for the day. I start any outdoor work at daylight, or before, and try to finish by noon at the latest. Some days we do not go out of the house again after lunch.

Hey Tom,
Great picture, and story about your dad.
I am glad I met him - I could see right away that he was a good man.
I picked up a Lincoln D.C. welder a few years ago and use it occasionally. The MIG is so easy on the thinner metal it is hard to not use it though.
It was dry as a bone in July here, but now we have monsoon rains...strange.
