  • Auto/Truck Lifts

Since I am in the planning stage of a new shop, the idea of an auto lift came up. My son (who is an auto mechanic) suggested a 10,000 lb 2 post lift. After looking at the gross vehicle weight of my pickup (8800 lbs), I agree with him. The M37 is only about 6000 lbs.

I will say that I do not have any past experience with these new lifts. If any of you have used one or have one in your shop, I would be interested in hearing about your experiences and recommendations.

    Thanks ....

    Because California...

...banned all sources of potential underground petroleum fluid leaks, these above ground lifts have been very common out here for the last 15-20 years. They work well, but take up floor space. Don't buy Chinese junk, look for a Made in USA unit. Check the web there are many sources. Your slab should be thicker in the lift post locations so that the post-set anchors do not "pop" through the slab.
