Preventing Corrosion
I have an attached garage were I now have my lathe set up. Here I use a dehumidfier once in a while during the summer months to lower the humidity. In the winter I run a small electric space heater.
I f you have a detatched workshop preventing rust and corrosion are a bit more of a problem. In the winter, a small temperature increase above ambient will prevent any condensation on your tools or equipment. A very small amount of heat will do this. A couple of light bulbs will raise the temperature and do the trick. This is assuming you workshop is reasonably tight.
