      You're right Doc, that should've been 50 caliber. Try to imagine a 50mm cannon on full auto - the Chzeck half track would be spinning like a top!

        As a reference...

        I would think the M113 APC is much heavier than any OT810(assumption on my part).

        I have been told the 20mm Vulcan has the ability to not only take the slack out of the transmission when fired from an M113, but actually move the vehicle slightly if it is a long enough burst.

        Another interesting aside is the Stryker program that is developing the 90mm on the 8X8. We have heard they were having problems with the recoil rolling the vehicle when the gun is fired perpendicular to the tires.

        I wonder how much a WC51 moved when they fired the 37mm's?
