There are street rod kits for air conditioning. I suspect you can also find Cummins brackets to mount a compressor on that engine.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

I have a high mount A/C compressor bracket already installed on the Cummins--its a Kenworth application, my biggest concern though is if anyone had ever attempted such a feat, and what condenser and plenum was used---if you look on all the websites concerning aftermarket A/C on a vintage truckk---you will get thousands of hits on old chevys fords, and everything else-----but nothing whatsoever on a M-37. Im still not even 100% sure im going to follow through with the idea yet.

I'm considering one of these units for my '53 M37 with 360 V8. I like cable operated systems. These are available with or without compressor. They are also pretty compact.

They look good; a great solution.
