I'll have to check the sump capacity but seems to me I dumped in 10 quarts?
For the oil sender I just went to the braided line with the existing electric senders attached and installed a manifold, similar to a tee, allowing installation of 2 mechanical senders in place of electric senders, then used redundant mechanical pressure gauges. Mechanical water temp gauge sender can go up on the very front of head on passenger side near thermostat housing.

I have acquired a 4BT with the Ford application bellhousing adapter, etc, so it would sit upright. I believe I will need to mod the oil pan more to get it to fit.

Don't know if these parts will help you, Doc, but maybe...? It's all the GM offset/tilted parts.

I'm moving soon, so if you're interested haste is of the utmost.

I think I will stay with a Ford tranny here, and do what Cabell Garbee did with the Ford ZF which is plug and play with this engine, supposedly.
BTW, where are you moving too?
