  • Pat and Wanda's Also M37 Safety Recall

Pat and Wanda's Tailgate Party was held September 25 - 27, 2009. There were 18 trucks (counting two Jeeps). One great truck was there for its first outing. It is worth a look.

Also, we discovered a serious potential problem in the M37 steering linkage. I've been around M37's since 1963 and never hear of this problem happening, but it may be a factor of age. There's a description and pictures in the Party report.

Mark Y. from St. Louis area broke one while we were running once, he had a spare on hand, Why? Because this wasn't his first one to fail. He later broke yet another one!

He has since replaced all the parts with custom arms and Hime Joints.
After seeing his brake, I picked up a spare idler arm to carry just in case mine brakes.

His M has a detroit locker in the front, and he suspects that this and the power steering might be contributors.

    I drive a DODGE, not a ram!

    Thanks,
