The 33rd annual East Coast Rally was a success due to a dedicated group of club individuals, some of who have been working on it since last December. A lot of coordination and some improvisation was necessary to keep things going. Talk within the club about next years event has already began. How to correct mistakes and streamline efforts are part of those discussions.
I hope those of you who attended were satisfied and found what you were looking for or sold some goods as well as enjoyed the fine vehicles on display. Best of show went to a magnificent White Scout Car restored by national MVPA winner John McLeaf. This truck was a sight to behold.
The New Jersey MTA was there in force and really made the event special. Thanks! The East Coast Convoy made a splash upon entry and really know how to impress. WOW!
Veterans were admitted for free and were fun to talk to while on "gate" duty.
As always, folks with feedback can communicate to the club via our website WACBGMVT.org. We are a non - profit organization and will donate the majority of monies (after expenses) to worthwhile organizations such as the Aberdeen Ordinance Museum, war memorials, etc.
Also, it was great to talk to Bruce C. and Cabell, nice guys with a true interest in the hobby. Sorry I missed any of you other guys if you were there. I was doing a lot of walking around, working the gate or resting my tired feet. Well worth it.
Think about coming next year if you have never been. Ads in several hobby publications will be out near the end of 2006.
