  • Fall MV Show in North Carolina

I saw that Zane had posted over on the www.G503.com website about the fall show in Hickory, NC so I thought that I would cross post it over here for him so that folks who like to plan WAY AHEAD can get this on the schedule...

The 2nd annual North Carolina Military Vehicle Show is scheduled for September 8, 2007. Last year we had a decent turnout, cool weather, and a great time with eleven vehicles total (1/4 ton up to 5 ton). Once again Propst Crossroads VFD will be hosting and serving concessions (Propts Crossroads is just Southwest of Hickory, NC). Vendors are encouraged to attend. We award a best of show plaque and may be adding some more award categories this year. If anyone has any questions contact Zane Gross @ 828-291-1243.

Hope to see some of you there.

In addition to the above mentioned static show and swap meet, we are having a trialride a two weeks later...

2nd Annual NC Regional Field Excercise (Trial riding)
    Uhwarrie National Forest
    Sept 21-23

Come out for some camping and trail riding.
We had a good turnout last year... IIRC: 3 or 4 M715's, an M37 (Cabell), a bobbed 4x4 duece, and various other CJ's, FSJ's, etc.

Tony Casey has Site B at Badin Lake Group Camp reserved for our use. All he asks is that you RSVP so that we don't grossly exceed the 10 vehicle limit at that site. Others will be staying at the Badin Lake Camp around the corner. Reservations can for the Baden Lake Camp can be made at ReserveUSA.com.

I strongly encourage anyone that wants to come out to do so, whether you bring a Samurai, 5-ton, or just bum a ride with someone else. I assure you you won't be disappointed. There is enough trail variety to suit most any taste and it was a LOT of fun last year.
