Well we just got back from the hills and here are a few shots of the Green Mt PW Rally!
A steady drizzle today but it didn't keep these guys from coming out to give us, what my son and I thought to be a very cool showing. Our first time to a gathering and I can tell you we had the best time. [Not an owner of one of these fine vehicles from the past, YET!] But as the road took us back into upper Vermont, I could see my son scanning the horizons, behind each barn we past ... wondering, where we will find our first? What kind of story will we have to share when we arrive at a rally?, in our very own PW.
Great stories where told around the tents as we sipped our very much appreciated hot coffee/chocolate and pastry goods. Good showing guys! Thanks

Hi Phil I do have a few more. Here you go. Oh I will share this one short story that started today. and yes you got to read this before you look at my photos.
my son and I arrived today and after a bit we wandered toward the tents, everybody is eager to talk and so a fellow introduced himself to us and I said "I know that name" ....racking my 45 year old brain I finally came up with this very small small world contact...seems when growing up we went to the same small Episcopalian Church camp on Lake Champlain together 33 years ago and I just happened to remembered his name...fate... now I have a closer connection to the PW world. I can smell the inside of that cab already:)

Those boats are sweet.

Hope I can afford one some day.

I love that song, too.

To all who missed the Green Mountain Power Wagon Rally;
A better time could not have been had, weather not withstanding. This was my first time attending any Power-Wagon event, and went with some trepiation, what would they think of my old beater (the rust-red and black seen in the photo's above), would they accept an outsider, all of those sorts of thoughts. Well, there was certainly nothing to worry about. The entire See family (3 generations) were totally friendly, opening their home to all of these perfect strangers as if we were long lost friends. Everyone was great, what a wealth of knowledge gathered in one spot. The trail ride was a blast, with a water hole about 75 yards long and water over the running boards. Way awsome!!!
The truck ran great there, on the trail ride and home again. I would rate the weekend 100+++++. Thanks to everyone who made it come together, especially the See's and Terry and Linda from Bosra, for all of the time on the grill! Cant say enough...
Thanks, Tim
