NP420 mate to a 318

Will the std M trans NP420 mate up to an LA318 without any mods or what mods would be required?

Monkey Man's V8 swap method.

MonkeyMan did this. He made up an adapter plate between the original bellhousing and 318 and moved the starter to the pass side. I have his template (plexiglass). Use a hydraulic 1960's Dodge truck bellhousing to make up the adapter plate (to index the holes perfectly - the plexiglass was too vague on hole locations) - I have it too.
