  • Cab Top Help

I put the soft top on my M37 last night and can't seem to get the front/windshield edge to stay put.
The canvas top has the rope bead in it but I think the rim at the top of the windshield is too wide. Is there another part missing or do I have to crimp down that lip slightly?

    Canvas top

Sounds like the opening on the w/s frame to hold the top is too big. Maybe the last owner pried it open to remove the top making the opening larger rather than sliding the top to the side of the vehicle to remove it? This is not rocket science. Your fix should be obvious when comparing the softtop to the w/s softtop track opening.

      "This is not rocket science."
Drew, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something prior to bending the channel down tighter.

I ended up using a block of wood and a "C" clamp to adjust the channel to fit the bead on the cab top.

Nice. You had the right idea. The manual says to use wood to spread the force to adjust the retainers so they are not dinged.
