  • Lubrication Information

    Hello,
Is there an "official" lubrication chart that was used with the M-37's? Maybe an updated one with lubricant specs you can find easily? Of course everyone has their own favorite motor oil, but I am referring to stuff like wheel bearings, transmission, transfer case, differentials and winch lubricants. I just finished a three hour stint in the parts washer getting 5 lbs of bear grease out of an LU-4 winch which should have had a lubricant a bit more liquid than "Red & Tacky" wheel bearing grease!
    Thanks,

You are very smart to look for the technologically advanced lubricants of today. The original lube chart is so far out of date until it's no good for proper lubricant selection any more, it is handy for a person not that familiar with the truck in showing illustrations of where lube check/fill points are located.

I'm on a short lunch break now and time is up, I will respond to your questions concerning the modern lube oils we like when time permits later today or this evening.
