  • Boarding ladder for M37

Is there a reference anywhere to the correct boarding ladder for the M37 (if there was such a thing)? Apart from any reference if anyone has an ladder that is effective can you tell me how many steps and the length.

I have purchased a stell ladder on enay with 4 steps. In an old issue of military vehilces I saw an aluminum one adverstised with a handrail on the left hand side by the way.

    Thanks.

I have never found a listing in any manual for a boarding ladder issued for an M37. Communications shelters that fit into an M37 had them and they were the four step, aluminum type with the left handrail which is probably what you saw listed on Ebay, they fit an M37 just not issued for it.

      Ladder

The ladder was a component of the M42 Command version.

It was also a component of shelters that were carried in the M37's bed.
The signal shelter included the 100 amp generator and wiring harness for running power to the shelter.

The ladders would not have been issued separately.

Here's the ladder. The hand rail was self storing. The ladder had adjustable ties that held the ladder against the tailgate.

      I hope this helps.
