I have the a 1951 with the snapring problem. Does anyone know where I can get a snapring to fit the shaft. The book calls for four different rings. Thanks for your help Berhot

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

We have custom ground snap rings; but first I'd suggest you check out the groove in the main shaft. Most of the time there is a story behind the ring failure and many times shaft groove damage is a huge part. We have seen many with the groove broken off the shaft. Certainly check the area very closely for cracks. Having it magnaflexed is a very good precautionary measure. If the edges of the groove are worn, (this is very likely), a new snap ring is worthless without replacing the shaft also.
