  • DRMO - Government Liquidation

    Hey guys,

There may already be a thread about this, but I just discovered this because I pass it every day here on post at Fort Meade. All these vehicles are for sale via public auction:

Sorry I couldn't get better pics, our escort needed to head back to the building. Anyways, if you go to http://www.govliquidation.com/vehicles.html they have tons of stuff listed, most bids start at $150! Typically, they said the sell the Kaisers for like $1500 - $5000. Not a bad deal, and they have all kind of vehicles. Lots of trailers, generators, all kinds of good stuff. Totally worth checking out.

You can make an appointment to go see the stuff at anytime before you place a bid to make sure it's good. They seem to turn the inventory over weekly there, so always a new crop of goodies to look at. Very cool.

We got our M35, a M101A1, and various other things through DRMO at fairly good prices.

I wish I lived closer to one of those sites.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

        The little devil

That's the little devil speaking. You know, the one from the old cartoons that is speaking into one ear while the little angel is speaking into the other. When I visited that site I could hear mine manufacturing all sorts of reasons why I needed every other item I saw. I am glad I don't live near one of those bases! (That's the little angel.) (I think.)

Take lots of pix Jared, I have never been into the yard but have driven past and seen lots of intresting things stored waiting to be offered for sale by GL. Maybe you will see your next project while there.

OK, devil had me go over there instead today. Pretty much showed up, signed in and was given a pass. I asked if there was an escort or rules, anything like that? They were like "nope, have fun!". I was then on a mission to start every vehicle I could possibly sit in :-)

              More trailers

What do you know? More trailers!

Another A2. I drove this one around the lot, it started right up, was a ton of fun! Here is a link to a video of me taking it for a spin:

A few A3's lined up there with a 5 ton.

So I guess the moral of the story here is, if you are looking for a military vehicle you can jump right in to without spending a ton of cash on or time in the garage, this is the place to check out. There are depots all across the country, there just happens to be one where I work :-) How convenient (and unfortunate for my bank account) for me.

Correct, this is right on Rock Ave, but there are tons of depots just like it all across the country.
