  • m37 tie rod ends

I am rebuilding the M37 now and am on the front axle.
A few years ago I bought two NOS tie rod ends, but they are different from each other in design.
One has got a spring with flat washers, metal and rubber. The other has a rubber "cone".
I presume the rubber cone design is the newer style, as the other style is what was on my '52 originally.
IS there any reason to be concerned about using two different styles? Just curious.

I would say no, other than it bothers some people in a neurotic sort of way.

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

On its face, I would say you are right...along with the perfectionist trait is the tendency to be a little neurotic! ;)
Probably no judge at a show would note the difference anyway.
