                  It's a alkyd enamel from Gillespie Coatings.
                  I used the Rapco 23070 ww2 semi-gloss olive drab, which my understanding is the correct shade used in the 50 to 55 trucks.
                  It did seem to match some original paint I found very closely.

                            That is a 20ft Military tow strap I have had for a long time. Not sure were I found it. Been watching and have not seen one like it since, other's yes.
                            It's 4 ply or four individual straps bundled together with a Slip (chocker) eye on each end.

                              That 20 ft. strap is actually a 20 ft. sling used in airdrop operations. It's a continuous loop sling made out of type II nylon webbing (I think it is type II???). I've rigged many M151 jeeps and M37's for airdrop using them. I've also got a few of them still laying around the house and in my truck. They followed me home after I retired. They do make great tow straps. :)
