  • Newbie is it a WC 51 or an M 37 ?

    Hello
I found what looks like a WC 51 but it is dated 1947
It looks more like a 51 than an M 37 but the date is throwing me off
I will get some photos as soon as I can
I know it is hard to tell without a photo but did anyone build a WC 51 in 1947 ?

    This should help:

When you find a truck that looks like yours, click on "more details" to get more information about it.

First, is the title saying 1947? or is the data plate saying 1947?
If it is the title, I have seen WWII Dodges get titles with the year they were surplused out.
If it is on the data plate, I have a WC 54 here that the data plate has it as a 1954, on the data plate! This truck went though a complete rebuild by the US Army at that time, maybe that also replaced the data plates at that time as a new truck. There is a WC52 in New Jersey that also has 1950s dated data plates on it that where put on at rebuild.

I will have to check to make sure, the vehicle is in a warehouse and the owner of that warehouse is selling it, but I am sure it is the title that has the date.
I have been thinking of buying it but it will be a lot of work to restore.
He wants $1500.00 for it, seems pricey to me.
