Anyone out there able to measure the dimensions of the WC series headlight guards please? I'm looking for both the 1941-42 and the 1943-45 style dimensions. Any help appreciated...
Thanks in advance. :-)
42's would be the 3/4 tons, they can have three types, or a combination of all the following.
Early (with no black out light), both sides will be the smaller size 11 1/4" long x 9 3/8" tall, wire in the middle.
Early (with black out light), pass. side small same size as above, drivers side longer to cover black out light 14 1/4" x 9 3/8", wire in the middle.
Later (with black out light), same as above, but wire on the outside of each.
The same would hold true for your 43-45's, but most likely wire on. I do believe Dodge put what ever they had on the floor, on the trucks they were building at the time. Then after the delivery to the war dept., the motor pool could have, and most likely changed everything to make the trucks work. Then Bubba got a hold of it, and all bets are off.
